The Office of Research: Pre and Post Award (MEDREPS) is currently seeking a Research Analyst. Responsible for supporting pre or post-award activities for an assigned portfolio of grants and contracts using knowledge of grant and contract management rules and regulations, technical expertise, and analytical skills. Handles the day-to-day operations and objectives in support of the assigned portfolio. Contributes information and ideas related to area of responsibility in development of division/department/school-wide strategy and operational initiatives. Ensures effective and efficient work flow and adherence to quality standards for program and self.

The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: Bachelorís degree in Business Administration or other related field.  Minimum of one (1) year of experience with grants and contract management. Professional certification in research administration is preferred. High level of interpersonal skills are required. Excellent English oral and written communication skills. Ability to analyze data and formulate conclusions. Ability to learn changing technologies related to grants and contracts management. Proficient use of computers; requires solid working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, Power Point). Ability to communicate both verbal and in writing with all levels of the organization. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects/tasks simultaneously. Ability to create verbal and written reports. Knowledge of federal and rules and regulations relating to research grant and/or contract activity. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications will be considered
