Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science is seeking an Assistant Scientist for the Meteorology and Physical Oceanography Division.  The successful candidate will synthesizes altimeter data with in situ measurements to investigate the multidecadal variability of the Agulhas Current and analyze the results in the context of regional forcings and other climate indices.  Duties will also include contributing to basic and applied research activities, providing leadership in the authorship of scientific publications and technical reports.  The candidate will also be expected to publish independently and in collaboration with the principle investigator in referred journals.

Applicants Should hold a Doctorate degree in Physical Oceanography or realted field.  This position requires a minimum of one year of experience at the post-doctoral level.  Experience with altimeter data processing and time-series analysis preferred, position #045961.
