The UMHC/Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Pharmacy Department, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician. Responsibilities include processing patient prescriptions/orders under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, receiving and checking of vendor orders, and compounding of extemporaneous preparations and IV admixtures.
The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: High School Diploma or equivalent and one year work experience in a hospital and/or retail pharmacy is required. Candidate must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the Florida Department of Health and a Pharmacy Technician certification is preferred. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certification may be considered.
