The Department of Neurological Surgery, located in Miami, is seeking a Practice Manager. The Department of Neurological Surgery consists of a group of physicians, nurses, scientists, and staff associates who are dedicated to providing compassionate state of the art medical care and to advancing medical knowledge. We specialize in the management of patients with surgically treatable neurological diseases. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations and administration of the clinical and surgical practices of the Department of Neurological Surgery including but not limited to Spine and Cranial Service, the Pediatric Neurosurgery Practice located at Miami Childrens Hospital, Endo-Vascular Service located at Jackson Memorial Hospital, the practice located at the University of Miami Hospital (UMH), the practice located at Jackson North Hospital and the Veterans Administration (VA) Hospital. Manages and maintains all aspects of the daily activities of the practice for its successful operation, which includes efficiently and timely scheduling of patients for clinics and surgeries . Develops, trains, coordinates, and recruits personnel for the practice to ensure that all offices are properly staffed and operational. Supervises the scheduling support staff for neurological physicians, and the ARNP and nursing staff to ensure patient access and satisfaction, effective and efficient coordination of out-patient appointments, appropriate surgical scheduling, and prompt compliance documentation. Reviews all clinical records and reports for inconsistencies, omissions and coding.
The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years of relevant work experience are required. Knowledge in computers (Outlook/Microsoft Office). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Previous Management/Supervisory experience preferred.
