The Department of Neurological Surgery is currently seeking a Sr. Patient Access Representative. The Department of Neurological Surgery consists of a group of physicians, nurses, scientists, and staff associates who are dedicated to providing compassionate state of the art medical care and to advancing medical knowledge. This individual will serve to provide personalized support and assistance to our Patients, Caregivers, Family Members and Guests for the Department of Neurosurgery with regards to all outpatient scheduling needs to include scheduling all outpatient appointments, ARNP appointments, collecting demographic information, obtaining insurance authorizations/negotiations for clinical services including corresponding diagnostic tests, scheduling of required diagnostic studies and compiling all the necessary medical records (including films) as needed. This position will provide guidance and support through every step of a patients' journey and serve as an advocate for the patient and provides educational and emotional support in regard to scheduling an outpatient physician's visit and any corresponding diagnostic testing. 

The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows:  High School Diploma or equivalent education is required.  Three (3) years of patient related clerical experience or equivalent experience is required.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.  Bilingual, English/Spanish is preferred.  Proficient with a computer and Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.  Any combination of relevant education, certifications, and/or work experience will be considered..
