The Department of International Medicine, located on the Medical Campus, is seeking a Temporary Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant will assist with a wide range of support tasks designed to increase the efficiency of patient processing; to include greeting and escorting patients throughout the UM/Jackson Medical campus, serving as receptionist during work hours, making appointments, acting as a cashier, and providing customer service to patients inquiring about UHealth.
The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: High School diploma or equivalent education and three (3) years minimum experience are required. Experience within a healthcare or hospitality setting is preferred. Must possess strong customer service skills and be able to multi task in a fast paced environment. Ability to read, write and speak English and Arabic is highly preferred. Knowledge of other languages is a plus. Proficiency in IDX is a plus. Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications will be considered
