University of Miami’s IP Strategy and Licensing office is seeking a Director with at least ten years of experience in Intellectual Property. Including corporate product development and business management, as well as academic technology transfer activities, including experience in management of translational research projects towards commercialization – management of invention disclosures and the patenting process, identification of commercial partners, licensing and creation of start-up companies. Hands on experience with market assessment, regulatory review and commercial risk assessment for academic IP.
 
Requirements: Master’s degree in engineering, management or biological sciences. 10 years of experience, encompassing corporate product development and business management, as well as academic technology transfer activities, including experience in management of translational research projects towards commercialization – management of invention disclosures and the patenting process, identification of commercial partners, licensing and creation of start-up companies. Excellent verbal and written skills, high level proficiency in verbal and written English, ability to package complex information into highly effective and concise presentations.
