A faculty position is available in the Department of Pathology, Anatomic Division at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Pathology.  Rank and salary will be based upon experience and qualifications.  Primary duties includes patient care service responsibilities in surgical and /or clinical pathology, teaching of residents and medical students and pursuit of collaborative research investigations leading to sponsored program funding of peer reviewed grants and contracts.

1.    This position would be primarily responsible for patient care services, for patients at UMH (University of Miami Hospital), JMH (Jackson Memorial Hospital) and SCCC (Sylvester Cancer Comprehensive Center).  The patient care service will include anatomic pathology service, and subspecialties which will also include GI Pathology.  Teaching pathology residents, fellows and give lectures to medical students.

2.    Ample opportunity to purse basic/clinical or applied research, collaborate with other investigators throughout the Medical Center and seek sponsored programs funding from grants and contracts.

3.    Teaching pathology residents, fellows and give lectures to medical students.


Must be a M.D, who is Board Certified or Board eligible in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic/Clinical Pathology.  Strong background in general surgical pathology and subspecialties to include GI Pathology.  Must also be licensed to practice medicine in the State of Florida
