The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer is seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant will work with the Executive Director of the Office of Research Administration for the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center (Sylvester). This position will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Associate Directors of Sylvester, Director of the Dodson Institute and the Executive Director for the Sylvester Office of Research Administration. Will assist with managing the Directors’ calendars, preparing correspondence, scheduling meetings and conferences. This position will assist with the preparation of reports and presentations. Responsible for providing administrative support for the Associate Directors and the Executive Director of the Sylvester Office of Research Administration. Specific duties include but not limited to managing telephone calls, preparing correspondence, scheduling meetings and conferences, and maintaining the appointment calendars. Assist with coordination and planning of meetings involving Sylvester Leadership: Responsible for preparation of reports and presentation materials (coordination of information gathering and development of drafts for Associate Directors review and approval): Assist Directors with the implementation of new initiatives. Manage all travel aspects for the Directors; this includes travel arrangements, meeting agendas and the preparation of materials and presentations. Responsible for developing and preparing PowerPoint presentations from a brief outline that will include sound and multimedia. Maintain electronic filing system for the Sylvester.

Bachelor’s degree required. Five years’ work related experience in a health care setting is required. Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks, projects and schedules. Excellent computer skills required. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to work under minimal direction. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications will be considered.
