The Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Program at the University of Miami (UM), a web-based educational program focusing in the areas of responsible conduct of research, research compliance and the protection of human research subjects, is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist. This position will support the collaboration between the CITI Program and the Clinical Translational Science Institute (CTSI) at UM. This candidate will work with faculty and staff at all levels to ensure outstanding projects are completed, maintain complete and proper records, and ensure proper relationships are established and maintained with CTSI collaborators, CITI clients, others throughout the University.

The Desktop Support Specialist will:

•Provide technical support to the CTSI functions of the CITI Program including supporting individual users, institutional trainers related to the CITI Program software and CTSA grant, enrolling users, updating curriculum, and troubleshooting user-related problems.
•Administer the CITI course libraries and CTSA custom curriculum which involves editing or creating CITI Course web content using HTML and custom software, implementing materials created by others including client institutions and other CTSA institutions.
•Provide technical support to the staff and developer associates of the CITI Program and CTSA grant administrators.
•Host technical training webinars for CITI institutional administrators for CITI Program software which involves creating and conducting training to various levels of users of the CITI Program software by using the software Adobe Connect.
•Provide escalated and advanced support to the end users of the CITI Program website.
•Participate in testing of new features for the CITI Program software including the development, implementation and analysis of CITI Course Satisfaction and Marketing Surveys.
•Participate in the development, implementation and analysis of the CITI Program survey research to investigate issues related to research ethics and new course development.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree plus one year of prior work experience providing customer service and project support.  Master's Degree in Psychology is preferred. The ability to construct and analyze a survey research project is highly desired. Experience with Microsoft and Adobe information systems/software programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Dreamweaver).Knowledge of HTML and Web Design required. Excellent English oral and written communication skills. Biomedical or clinical research background desired. Able to perform in a high-paced and interactive environment.  Any appropriate combination of education, certifications, and/or relevant work experience will be considered.
