The Diabetes Research Institute (DRI) is seeking a Research Associate 1. The incumbent in this position will work in close supervision with Dr. Tomei as assistant research in lab research studies. Conduct lab research as instructed in the field of cell and molecular biology and immunology both in vitro and in vivo in rodent models as indicated. Review and complete all forms, including lab and supplied order inventory and training for animal experimentation and laboratory work. Responsible for maintenance of mice transgenic colonies, including breeding and genotyping; and maintenance of culture of primary cells and cell lines as needed. Maintain and organize lab equipment and supplies.

Bachelorís Degree required, preferably in Biomedical Engineering or Molecular Biology other related fields. Although no prior experience is required, one year of experience in cell and molecular biology is preferred. Experience in the field of immunomodulation will be a plus. Any appropriate combination of education, certifications, and/or relevant work experience will be considered.
