The Department of Neurology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate a large regional stroke registry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for soliciting, enrolling, and tracking up to 146 hospitals that will contribute to the Hispanic Stroke Prevention/Intervention Research Program (H-SPIRP)- a specialized collaborative center at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, and involves collaborators in Puerto Rico at the University of Puerto Rico and Hospital HIMA. The mission of the center is to improve the treatment and prevention of stroke among Hispanics. This high-impact, multi-disciplinary research program will initiate the Florida Puerto Rico Stroke Registry and collate data from nearly 146 hospitals that are currently collecting American Heart Associationís Get With the Guidelines-Stroke data, as well as specific new data items.

The Research Project Manager will play a key role in organizing the administrative structure of the registry and serve as a liaison among its various components. This position will also be responsible for organizing regular meetings among members of the study team as well as larger annual meetings among the study team, the American Heart Association, the National Institutes of Health, and other constituents as needed.
The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: Bachelorís degree and three years of relevant experience is required. Knowledge of IRB and experience writing IRB reports preferred. MPH and relevant experience in coordinating large federal grants preferred. Experience implementing quality improvement projects highly desired. Ability to travel to Puerto Rico or other sites within the United States is required. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, certifications and/or work experience will be considered.
