The Department of Tumor Registry has an opening for a RQRS Quality Coordinator. Responsible for the performance of advanced technical work in coding and qualitative analysis of medical records for all patients diagnosed, seen or treated with malignant or benign reportable disease at UM Sylvester Cancer Center, University of Miami Hospital and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. This includes performing various technical duties including but not limited to case finding, data collection, abstracting, Rapid Quality Reporting System (RQRS), data analysis, data entry, follow up, quality control, chart retrieval, chart review, report writing, typing of letters and documents, answering phones and performance of related duties as assigned. Attendance at seminars, workshops, tumor boards, cancer conferences, Cancer Committee and its sub committees and other Tumor Registry related training and educational programs is required for ongoing education and certification.

Bachelor's Degree and one year of relevant work experience required. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
