The Department of Orthopaedics is looking for a Supervisor of Medical Billing to oversee the medical coders and medical billing personnel. The Supervisor will interview, train, counsel and recommend actions with the assistance of the Director of Finance and Professional Billing. This position will be responsible for the daily input/transfer of surgical charges into the UChart Billing and Accounts Receivable System.
The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: High School diploma or equivalent education is required. Graduate of an accredited Medical Coder program is preferred. Five (5) years of medical coding experience in a hospital/medical setting or related experience is required. Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding. Certification in Medical Coding is preferred. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications will be considered.
