The Department of Registration currently has an exciting opportunity available for a Patient Access Representative.

Responsible for greeting patients upon arrival in a courteous and professional manner. Registers new or established patients by entering and/or verifying on-line information including : demographic information, health insurance carrier and referring physician; insurance information while adhering to billing and collection policies of BPEI and  patient financial status classification. Directs patients to appropriate waiting area. Also responsible for verifying proper diagnosis codes; collecting co-insurance, co-payments, and deductibles as appropriate.  Performs other duties as assigned.



Minimum requirements include: High school or equivalent required. One year experience in registration/insurance verification or in a healthcare related field required. Excellent customer service skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Any combination of relevant education, work experience, and / or certifications will be considered.
