Department / Hospital:   Occupational Health Clinic

Responsible for the coordination of patients arriving at the Occupational Health Clinic for Worker’s Compensation Services including but not limited to registration, analysis, referral, appointment setting, working in conjunction with ancillary department, outside vendors and others.

Two to Four Year College Degree preferred but can be substituted for 4 – 6 years experience in a healthcare setting dealing with workers compensation, patient accounts and/or managed care contracting.
In Lieu of Education:
• Two year experience in a health care setting; Workers Compensation experience preferred.
• Minimum of two years experience in patient accounting/managed care contracting.
• Education and experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
• Additional patient accounting experience and/or third party payor experience preferred.
In Addition to Education:
• Familiarity with automated patient accounting systems, electronic billing systems.
• Computer literate; Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Access, Word & Power point)
• Public speaking, training and negotiation skills are essential.
