The Department of Imaging Services has an opening for a Manager of Quality. Duties includes develops, researches, writes, and maintains enterprise-wide policies & procedures encompassing all facets of the UM Radiology/Imaging Services Departments practice. Responsible for administration of Radiology/Imaging Services Departments Regulatory Compliance, Quality Management, and Patient Safety Programs and serve as the Radiology/Imaging Services Patient Safety Officer and HIPAA Liaison. Serve as a resource for the Radiology/Imaging Services Departments for Accreditation & Regulatory Compliance, Patient Safety, and Quality & Risk Management. Monitors compliance with regulatory requirements related to Quality, Risk Management and Patient Safety where applicable to the Departments of Radiology/Imaging Services.

Conducts regulatory compliance, quality & risk assessments, and recommends corrective actions, process improvements, and interventions which reduce the risk of adverse outcomes and improve the quality of patient care delivered. Perform monitoring activities in order to improve patient outcomes and to comply with the requirements of regulatory agencies (Joint Commission, AHCA, ACR, etc). Provide ongoing education to departmental employees and faculty regarding new activities or initiatives, including development of processes and materials that promote quality initiatives, risk prevention, safe work practices and patient safety.


Bachelor's Degree and three years of relevant work experience required. Completion of a two-year Radiologic Technology program approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation is required. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Advanced Registries in Multiple Imaging Modalities. State of Florida Department of Health Certified Radiologic Technologist General Radiographer’s License required. CPHQ Certification in Health Care Quality from the Health Care Quality Certification Board preferred. CPHRM Certification in Health Care Risk Management from the American Hospital Association preferred. State of Florida Agency for Health Care Administration Licensed Health Care Risk Manager preferred.

Previous supervisory experience preferred. BLS/CPR certification preferred. Training or OEM applications background preferred. Candidate must possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Exhibit exemplary level of professionalism and leadership is required. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications will be considered.
