The Department of Epidemiology & Public Health is currently seeking an Associate Scientist. The Associate Scientist will work as part of several multi-disciplinary research teams under the direction of multiple Principal Investigators for four federally funded grants. The Associate Scientist will actively support research prevention programs funded by NIDA and NIMH in the areas of substance use, HIV, and mental health.

The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: Ph.D in statistics, biostatistics or epidemiology is required. Five (5) years of relevant post doctorate degree experience is required. Effective communication skills both written and verbal. Proficient computer skills including Excel, Power Point and multiple statistical software programs. Co-authored publications in the areas of drug abuse, HIV, and mental health. Expertise in the use of statistical packages, including SAS and Mplus. Expertise in statistical modeling techniques. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, certifications and/or work experience will be considered.
