GENERAL DESCRIPTION:  
Position will assist the Manager of Information Systems manage all the computer information systems needs of the Division of Student Affairs including analyzing current business practices, developing solutions to existing problems, troubleshooting all computer software, hardware, and automate procedures where possible.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position requires experience in .NET development technology stack and Microsoft SQL relational database design. Candidates are expected to work with the Manager of Information Systems to define requirements, draft specifications, and code projects through to completion.

•Design, develop and support applications for Division of Student Affairs including the following technologies but not limited to: ASP.NET Web Form, ASP.NET Core, Web Services, Ado.NET, and Entity Framework in MS Visual Studio using C#.
•Provide support and maintenance for several existing systems developed in-house.
•Serve as the liaison between Student Affairs Information Systems and Third party application vendors.
•Work with Telecommunications to oversee installation, troubleshooting, configuration and continued support of the Division’s technology (hardware/software).
•Assist in the maintenance and development of the Division’s websites using the content management system provided by the University.
•Assist in the requirement gathering and documentation of in-house applications and third-party implementations.
•Serve as Team leader and support resource for Junior Programmers (Student Workers).
•Provide technical support, assistance and training to Student Affairs departments on in-house developed applications and third-party software and hardware.
•Set up existing equipment for division wide events, such as career fairs, etc.
•Occasionally assist with updates and maintenance to the departmental Windows servers.
•Willing to work occasional extra hours and weekends as necessary to complete special projects.
•Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technology field plus 3+ years’ experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
•Strong understanding of object-oriented programming in C#.
•Strong knowledge of developing and deploying applications using ASP.NET Web Forms, MVC.
•Solid knowledge of relational database design and development in MS SQL Server 2014 and newer, including T-SQL, stored procedures.
•Strong knowledge of ADO.NET, SOAP/Restful Services.
•Strong debugging and analytical skills. 
•Experience developing web applications using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
•Experience in software requirement gathering.
•Working knowledge of MS SQL Enterprise Manager.
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Entity Framework (preferred).
•Working knowledge of Windows Server 2016 and newer (preferred). 
•Working knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) (preferred).
•Familiar with writing and publishing reusable libraries as NuGet Packages (preferred).
•Familiar with various software design and architectural patterns (preferred).
•Demonstrated experience with version control tools, such as Visual Studio Team Services (preferred).
•Ability to manage multiple projects with conflicting deadlines and to maintain high level of professional conduct and courtesy in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
