The applicant will be involved in collaborations focused on the analysis of transcriptome expression of microarray and/or next generation sequencing data.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
•Provide data analysis services, run algorithms, and develop inference techniques.
•Characterization of data features according to project goals (profiling, variation, integration, etc.)
•Compute gene and non-coding RNA profiles with available algorithms.
•Perform annotations using available tools and database resources centered on GO, Pathways etc.
•Conduct analysis to infer biological mechanisms, employing either statistical or network models.
•Integration of clinical data for analysis
•Assist with CCS data analysis services
•Coordinate educational efforts including training workshops for in-house analysis tools.
•Contribute to writing publications in revered journals.
•Other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
•The candidate must have the ability and eagerness to learn new concepts and implement them, as well as a strong team ethic. The successful candidate will work with and assist researchers at all levels with varied computer proficiencies, thus excellent interpersonal communication skills are required.


Education Requirements:
•A PhD degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, biophysics or other related field is required.


Work Experience Requirements:
•Some work experience in data analysis and biomedical applications is preferred.
