The Diabetes Research Institute (DRI) is an international center whose mission is to bring together leading scientists worldwide to develop and rapidly apply promising research to treat and cure diabetes.
The incumbent in this position will assist: In the synthesis, purification, conjugation and characterization of novel biomaterials for cell surface coating and functionalization. Specifically, expertise in biopolymer synthesis, purification, and surface chemistry analysis is anticipated. Good interpersonal and organizational skills, excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail and accuracy, and orderly laboratory habits are also must.


Minimum requirements are as follows: PhD/MD in Chemistry, or related areas.  Experience in the synthesis, purification, conjugation and characterization of novel biomaterials for cell surface coating and fictionalization.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English), good interpersonal and organizational skills, orderly laboratory habits and manual dexterity, attention to detail and accuracy, and willingness to work with human or animal specimens (blood, tissues, cell-lines). Any appropriate combination of education, certifications, and/or relevant work experience may be considered.
