The UMIT Communications Manager, reporting to the UMIT Director of Communications, is the primary driver for the establishment, development, and continuous improvement of communications for clinical applications projects, including EHR, and ICD-10. Prior communications management experience around EHR, ICD-10, or other major clinical application system implementations, developing and executing a communications strategy, a proven ability to manage projects and teams of diverse personnel who are not direct reports, previous experience on project teams with a proven ability to work under time constraints while meeting critical milestones, experience with systems implementation and/or process transformation a plus. The Epic Communications Specialist writes, edits, produces and coordinates internal and external communications materials across a variety of media to support the rollout of Epic across the organization. A successful candidate must be a capable writer and communicator, fast learner, adept at managing multiple responsibilities at once, able to work collaboratively with business partners at multiple levels, has a high attention to detail and time management skills to consistently meet deadlines. Experience in clinical applications communications and project management will be an important asset to the candidate. 
Requires a Bachelor's degree, and at least two years' experience in clinical systems communications, or corporate communications; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; SharePoint knowledge, graphic design/multimedia program skills would be a plus. Position #048541
