Position Announcement Assistant/Associate/Professor of Violin
Assistant/Associate/Professor of Violin Effective August 2014 DUTIES: Teach and recruit graduate and undergraduate violin students; conduct master classes and seminars; maintain professional career as artist/teacher. Other responsibilities may include playing and coaching chamber music, serving on doctoral committees, teaching courses in the candidates areas of interest.

QUALIFICATIONS: Established artist/teacher of Violin; national/international prominence; proven record of successful teaching, preferably in a university environment; ability to attract and recruit outstanding undergraduate and graduate students; DMA or equivalent required. Candidates with exceptional professional experience will also be considered.

APPOINTMENT: Full-time tenure track position. Rank and salary negotiable.
The University of Miami is a private, independent, comprehensive University with an enrollment of approximately 14,500 students from all fifty states and over 100 countries. The main campus is located in Coral Gables, a residential suburb of Miami. The Frost School of Music has an enrollment of approximately 750 majors in 31 programs leading toward B.A, B.S., B.M., A.D., M.M., M.S., S.P.E.D., D.M.A., and PhD degrees. These programs are served by approximately 66 full-time and 38 part-time faculty, plus 128 graduate teaching assistants.
