The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is currently seeking a Residency Coordinator.
The Residency Program currently consists of six Resident’s and one Fellow. The Department plans to expand the number of resident’s to twelve as we begin to recruit new clinical faculty. This position’s role will be to work with the new Residency Director, Cristiane Takita to assist her with the planned expansion of the program per the new chairman. The Department has also developed a non-accrediated Fellowship Program; this position will additionally work with the Residency Program Director to create, develop and implement this new program.
This position provides direction, leadership and day-to-day management of educational and departmental activities to include administrative support to the Director of the residency training program and Chief Resident; and educational coordination between attending physicians, residents, medical students and both University of Miami (UM) Graduate Medical Education Office and Jackson Health System (JHS) House Staff Office. Acts as administrative support for clinical faculty to include scheduling, coordination of meetings, calendar items and travel arrangements.

Bachelor’s degree and one year of relevant office experience in a medical setting. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must have excellent communication skills and be personable. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Needs to have the ability to work on an independent basis. Highly motivated and a self starter. Must be able to work with confidential materials and maintain high degree of confidentiality. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
