The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking an individual for the position of Research Committee Coordinator who will be responsible coordinating the following research committees within the Clinical Research Services (CRS) Division of UM/Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center: the Protocol Review Committee (PRC), Data and Safety Monitoring Committee (DSMC) and Clinical Research Services (CRS) Advisory Committee. The three Committees function independently from the Clinical Trials office (CRS), but receive administrative support from CRS. Responsibilities include: collecting, reviewing, and disseminating all protocol related submissions reviewed by the PRC, DSMC, and CRS Advisory Committee; coordinating committee meetings, actions, and determinations; maintaining organized and accurate data and electronic/paper files; participating in retrospective/prospective quality assurance projects as identified; providing backup assistance to the Director of Research Support as needed.

Qualified candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree required and three years of relevant work experience in clinical trials management or research experience in clinical trials setting. Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA) or Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) highly desirable. Experience in preparing Clinical Research Forms (CRF), Informed Consent Forms (ICF), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Institutional Review Board (IRB) submission required. Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and International Standards on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines a plus. Oncology background and/or medical knowledge is preferable. Computer, quality assurance, supervisory and management skills required. Excellent skills in English (both verbal and written) required. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, certifications and/or work experience will be considered.
