Life Alliance Organ Recovery Agency (LAORA) is division of the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Division of Surgery. The goals of LAORA are to obtain organs for clinical transplantation throughout southeastern Florida, to transport them to transplant centers within the U.S. and to support donor families through the donation process. LAORA procures an average of 500 organs per year from over 80 donor hospitals.

The Secretary position is responsible for providing secretarial support to the Hospital Development and Community Development team. This position reports to the Director of Business Development, and provides functional reporting and works collaboratively with the Hospital and Community Development leaders.

The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: High School Diploma or equivalent education is required. One year previous secretarial experience required. Computer knowledge with data entry experience as well as proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, certifications and/or work experience will be considered.
