The Office of Research, Clinical Research Initiation Services (CRIS), has an immediate opening for a Clinical Research Initiation Analyst. The Clinical Research Initiation Services (CRIS) Office is a centralized research support service that provides contract review and negotiation, project budgeting, Medicare coverage analysis, document coordination, and management of administrative linkages with UM research affiliates. This person will collaborate extensively with both CRIS personnel and also principal investors to ensure that UM's resources are protected, the study can be performed in a way that is compliant and fiscally sound, and a contract is negotiated that ensures that potential legal hurdles are identified and a mitigation plan is established. Requirements: Bachelor's degree and 3 years of work-related experience in a hospital, academic research setting or company. Must have advanced experience using spreadsheet, database and word processing applications, as well as computerized financial systems, required. Knowledge of medical terminology, Medicare rules, and drug/device development preferred. Position# 034728 Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills are also required.
